When I started my first business I had no idea about pretty much anything except my trade (plumbing)….but from what I have learnt since, if you know the right people and they are ‘like minded’ enough, their ability to succeed combined with somebody’s ability to find an alternative opportunity can be all that is needed to take an idea into a roller coaster ride of growth…..
Innovative Growth Platforms
With the opportunity of implementing fresh and rich digital opportunities into modern day business; there are fresh opportunities for finding an idea, embracing its potential and then taking it to market with ambitious belief; these are a couple of those business growth platforms:
- Landing Pads
- Crafting, and
- Stripping
These concepts, when compared with standard start-ups, SME’s &business change management have potentially proven high value return of >100% YOY for the first 5 years and in excess off 40% retained equity thereafter.
The modern start-up innovation ecosystem targets new businesses, entrepreneurs and low market entry opportunities through business incubators. Those businesses are generally tech based (but not all), and with financial assistance of accelerator programs (used to inspire and transcend the boundary for viable entry level business initiatives), it is intended that founders immediately boost their concepts with disruptive integration to ‘add-value’ where it was otherwise lacking.
The key focus for people to succeed is:
- Providing the best bang for your buck,
- Eliminate waste and lost time,
- Make life easy for the customer,
- Give the customer an experience that they want more off,

Crafting
Crafting is finding a successful business opportunity, a niche with a target market problem that has high end growth potential; bringing people together (people that have intrinsic knowledge) to establish the necessary business in a managed way to initiate a business model that is crafted to fill a niche with the best chance of delivering a high value return on investment.
Stripping
Stripping is finding a high value market and matching the opportunity with a business that has a characteristic that would potentially suite the market. The market may be completely different to anything it has done before; stripping is about pealing back the business and redirecting its capabilities to target a market that otherwise would not have been looked at.
Unlike other traditional methods of bringing innovation to business; such as mentoring, coaching, seminars, training and other interactive learning environments that help businesses succeed; the newer approach to creating advanced innovation is about piecing together opportunities that otherwise would characteristically have been missed.
